Ultrasonic Cleaning

The Ultrasonic, is known for its deep cleaning abilities. You might be wondering how it cleans. The ultrasonic machine uses bubbles. These are created by sound waves moving through the water. This process is called, Cavitation, which is the formation of bubbles in the water. The action of cavitation is caused by the spinning motion of the bubbles. The microscopic size of the bubbles makes them more efficient during the cleaning process. Bubbles that are created through Cavitation are empty space, there’s nothing that holds them open. As a result, the bubbles will collapse, or implode. This will happen a million times per second. The constant implosion produces vacuum energy, in the form of heat and pressure. The combination of heat and pressure which gives Ultrasonic its cleaning capability and power. When cavitation happens next to a dirty object, the vacuum action produced by millions of bubbles constantly imploding it creates a tiny pressure wave that reaches deep into every nook and cranny. This pressure wave dislodges and breaks up any dirt and other contaminants. If you have an item that needs a deep clean, we’d be more than happy to help at SERVPRO of Mason City.
